Making way for speech development through shaping communication abilities of children with autistic disorders The article discusses communication disorders of children with diagnosed autism, which is based on knowledge on autism. On the basis of negative symptoms of autism, the author analyses the deficits influencing these disorders and shows communication disorders in a wide perspective. The article draws the readers attention to the primary functions to achieve communicative competence which are a basis for the developement of speech.

pedagog, neurologopeda. Zajmuje się zaburzeniami komunikacji i mowy na podłożu neurologicznym, anatomicznym i psychogennym. Specjalizuje się w rozwijaniu sprawności komunikacyjnych u dzieci z (ASD) – zaburzeniami autystycznego spektrum, a także w zaburzeniach płynności mowy. Wykorzystuje w pracy również (AAC) alternatywne i wspomagające metody komunikacji. Prowadzi terapie indywidualne oraz grupowe dla: dzieci autystycznych i młodzieży jąkającej się. Ukończyła Studia Podyplomowe Logopedii i Glottodydaktyki z Terapią Pedagogiczną w Uniwersytecie Śląskim. Pracuje w Poradni Psychologiczno-Pedagogicznej w Gliwicach.
